It is site of Yokohama-shi public health center health security department Health Sanitation Division here. We provide disaster and information about hygiene measures at the time of flood.
In Yokohama-shi, it recruits wells (well for disaster emergency) providing to local people as life water such as lavation at the time of disaster as "securing of life water at the time of disaster".

When is appointed in well for disaster emergency, well owner full name, the location of well are published in well list for disaster emergency that Yokohama-shi issues.
This list is deployed in evacuation shelter and Neighborhood Associations, Neighborhood Association, window of ward office to have you inflect at the time of disaster.

○We use well water as life water, and drinking water, please use drinking water supplied in evacuation shelter and stored thing.
Everyday management
○You serve as the quality of the water maintenance and check such as pumps, and please draw well water more than once a week.
○Please always keep well and the people clean.

As we may investigate the around simple examination of water to confirm the quality of the water situation and well situation, I would like cooperation. (I will inform before investigation.)
I would like everyday hygiene management to utilize well water for at the time of disaster safely.
It is important to usually perform check about kara, well water and the well neighborhood to keep the cleanliness degree of well, and to apply well water in at the time of disaster safely.
In reference to the next checkpoint, we will check.
Garbage or filth enter well when we do not block up, and well water may be polluted.
When we do not block up, it will prevent closing the cap (for covering the top), and garbage from entering.
When canned oil or detergent are put on the cover of well, well water may be polluted when cover was damaged.
We prevent us from putting thing on the cover, and let's keep clean.
Rainwater enters well even if we keep clean over cover of well when there is crack on cover.
When there is crack on cover of well, let's repair.
When heavy rains fell, in the well having low setup, filthy water might flow into well.
It will prevent filthy water from flowing in for arranging setup in well when (15cm or more) does not have enough setup.
When there are "garbage, filth, stagnant water" around well, it causes pollution of well water.
Let's keep "rearranging, order, cleanliness" in mind.
When septic tank around the well, drainage trout are damaged, filthy water leaks from there and may get mixed with well water.
When there are these facilities in near the well body (less than 5m degree), we warn management of facilities enough, and let's confirm that filthy water does not leak regularly.
We have you draw well water regularly, and color becomes dull in water, and let's confirm that there is not abnormality such as smells.
※Well for disaster emergency is aimed for use as life water. We recommend that channel is used to drinking water.

When there are typhoon or torrential rainfalls, flood may take place.
When road surface is flooded for at the time of heavy rain, the sewer may flow backward. When houses are flooded by such filthy water as filthy water may get mixed with the sewer, you remove dirt by cleaning enough, and please sterilize. (if there is not, disinfection cannot show effect after the cleaning.)
When rainwater is flooded in the situation that road surface is not flooded, it is enough as hygiene measures, but disinfectant work may be necessary if we wash with tap water well as filthy water may get mixed depending on the local situation.
When houses are flooded, please perform cleaning and hygiene measures as follows.
When you sterilize, please purchase disinfector at drugstore of neighborhood. When drugstore is unclear, please contact "Yokohama-shi prevention of epidemics measures representative contact drugstore" (Yokohama-shi pharmacist society).
When disinfector uses excessively, we may affect someone's health and environment. It will be said that use is minimum. In addition, in the case of use, please be careful not to have accident according to instruction manual.

0.1% of use density (we weaken medicinal solution with water to be increased by 100-fold)
We are suitable for sterilization of furniture or floor. You dip into dustcloth, and please wipe. (please avoid use to rubber product)
◎6% of sodium hypochlorite (home chlorine-based bleaching agent)
0.02% of use density (we weaken medicinal solution with water to be increased by 300-fold)
We are suitable for sterilization such as eating and drinking appliances. After having dipped into medicinal solution for around five minutes, please wash in water. (we cannot use for metal)
When cleaning with tap water is enough, disinfection may need hygiene measures when houses were flooded by the situation of the inundation.
When you have a problem, please consult about things about disinfection such as judgments of the need of disinfection to Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division of ward to live. We judge the need of disinfection after we perform field work, and the staff of Health and Welfare Center confirmed the situation and support disinfectant work.
