About unpaid case of selling of power rate

Process

In destruction by fire factory, it generates electricity using steam generated with garbage destruction by fire. We consume in factory, and electricity that generated electricity supplies to use of residual heat facilities and we sell electricity to further remain to electricity company and get income.
In 2015, we sold electricity of Asahi factory and Kanazawa factory to Japanese Logitec cooperative, but, by the reason of outstanding payment of selling of power rate, canceled contract on January 21, 2016. Japanese Logitec cooperative went bankrupt with a large amount of debt on April 15, 2016. We received the bankruptcy and, for creditor, filed for decision, transfer of the amount of allotment, and Tokyo District Court terminated by the bankruptcy procedure on October 5, 2018.

Approach

We looked back toward past approach while arranging project in the department in 2016, and having certified public accountant, advice of expert including lawyer in Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau and performed inspection that focused on up to outbreak of nonpayment case and problem for follow-up. And, based on this inspection result, we introduced contract deposit as security at the time of unpaid outbreak and performed review of contract contents including shortening of deadline of the delivery. In addition, by holding of meeting about the periodical annual revenue, we enhance improvement and risk management of the annual revenue awareness of the staff.
We will work for more appropriate correspondence well in future to take this case heavily, and not to repeat the same thing.
