Policy of the present situation and town development

About about 37ha of district in southern Shin-Yokohama Station, land readjustment project was abolished, but is the situation that city planning decision remains, and architecture restrictions enter. We stand on these progress and promote new town development by collaboration with hometown some other time.
District in southern Shin-Yokohama Station regards balance of living environment as place of life as city function as the downtown area of Yokohama, and it is necessary to think about image in the future of town development. In addition, maintenance of the sewer and maintenance of municipal facilities including road to secure safety are hurried.
We perform inhabitants participation and information disclosure positively from stage of plan and plan to push forward future town development and think that it is important to make plan with local various places. We push forward "town development by collaboration" that administration shares role and responsibility with local people.
We assume "way of thinking (plan) of new town development of district in southern Shin-Yokohama Station" basics and think about town development while talking with local various places about various methods that were suitable for each district and area. And we change city planning to this at stage when we were able to plan to be new.

About "way of thinking (plan) of new town development of district in southern Shin-Yokohama Station"

Preface

In district in southern Shin-Yokohama Station, we abolished business plan of old land readjustment project (1994 city planning decision, 1997 business plan decision), but city planning decision is remaining as there is not plan of new town development as a substitute for old land readjustment project.
To date problems such as improvement of small road which is dangerous to maintenance and walker of the sewer are remaining and are the situation that building limit by city planning decision is hung.
We want to devise plan of new town development while showing way of thinking of new town development of city this time, and doing, and hearing opinion of local.

Basic way of thinking

(1) New town development pushes forward the local agreement formation progressively from place where we got agreement carefully.
(2) At stage when plan of new town development is devised, we abolish city planning decision of old land readjustment project.
(3) About use of land, we divide into "house area" maintaining "the station square area" examining the high use of land and current living environment.

  • In the station square area, we push forward talks with the ground incarnation about the high use of land.
  • In house area, we support local actions such as organizing of town development, the making of rule, the making of plan depending on local request.

(4) About road becoming local main line, we aim at maintenance that we put together in development projects of the station square area for improvement from the south side of Shin-Yokohama Station in access and ensuring safety of walker in district.
In addition, the present city planning road (Shin-Yokohama Shinohara Line, Shin-Yokohama south exit line) puts these together for plan of new town development in consideration of the current topography, the pitch of residential land, position of the present situation road to premise large-scale creation by old land readjustment project and reviews linear width.
(5) About the sewer, we start construction in Mamedo-cho from 2010. We start maintenance at stage when plan of new town development was devised, but, in Shinohara-cho, maintain prior to rainwater as we made possible precedence-like maintenance as a result of examination about filthy water.
